Sustainability Victoria

Established under the Sustainability Victoria Act 2005, we are a statutory authority with a board appointed by the Minister for Environment.

More information about our remit and functions can be found in the Sustainability Victoria Act 2005. We also have obligations under the Environment Protection Act 1970 for statewide waste management strategy and planning.

Essentially, we’re here to support Victorians in the transition to a circular, climate-resilient economy.
