Racquel is a proud Dja Dja Wurrung/Boonwurrung woman and an experienced specialist with a proven track record in the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage industry with a commitment to self-determination building and implementation for Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander Peoples. She has worked across a variety of areas, from Aboriginal cultural heritage and legislation, Indigenous urban design to stakeholder and partnership development and everything in-between. Racquel’s passion in creating and facilitating outcomes for First Nations Peoples has led to extensive work both in the public and private sector, providing exceptional service and knowledge delivery.
Racquel has previously been appointed to the Victorian Aboriginal Heritage Council (2018-2021) amongst many other roles. Now based in Boorloo/ Perth, Racquel works for GHD as Aboriginal and Stakeholder Engagement Advisor for WA, harnessing interstate expertise to lead in best practice engagement. In addition, her business Racquel Kerr Consulting operates on a grass roots level, allowing opportunity to still work with and connect with community back home.
