Speaker Profile

Linda is the Science, Research and Innovation Manager at Tyre Stewardship Australia. She has a strong background in science research, including a PhD in Chemistry, completed at the University of Sydney.

Linda’s scientific background also includes working as an analytical and research chemist at the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, and completing research projects at Nanjing University in China and Durham University in the UK.

Her passion and knowledge about the chemical makeup of materials is providing invaluable support to research projects relating to end-of-life tyres. These projects include new markets for tyre derived materials, emerging processing technologies, chemicals of potential concern and microplastics, and life cycle thinking.

Linda is passionate about science communication and advocating for better outcomes for materials, and has been heard talking about tyres at comedy festivals and has even appeared on a Dr Karl podcast.
