Speaker Profile

Jo-Ann is the CEO of the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and a leading voice in Australian design. Since 2017, she has championed initiatives to elevate Australian designers, and has lead a major restructure of the DIA.

With extensive leadership experience, including roles with the Australian Design Alliance and Standards Australia, and as former CEO of the Council of Textile & Fashion Industries of Australia (TFIA), Jo-Ann possesses a comprehensive understanding of design across business, education, and the not-for-profit sector.

A passionate designer advocate for over 20 years, Jo-Ann received an Honorary Fellowship from the DIA in 2014, recognising her outstanding contributions to the profession.
